Rybnaya Sloboda sightseeing tour. The Author:Karimova Aliya 7th "V" form Rybnaya Sloboda 2009 Hello, ladies and gentlemen. We welcome you to Rybnaya Sloboda. It’s my hometown and one of the most beautiful places in our republic. You’ll enjoy travelling around Rybnaya Sloboda on our Yellow Bus. While you are sitting on the bus, I will point out the most interesting sights in Rybnaya Sloboda. Rybnaya Sloboda is a very multi-cultural settlement. It is home to many cultural groups, which gives Rybnaya Sloboda a unique character. So, sit back and enjoy the ride! Rybnaya Sloboda is the acknowledged Fish Capital of our republic. In days of the Mongolian invasion the prince Meshchersky has moved the fishermen from Ryazan to Kama, on a place where our village is situated. It is proved by facts of archaeological excavations. In this place were found fishing hooks, which were identical with the hooks of the Ryazan fishermen. The mention of our village meets in documents of 1578 in funds of the Russian state archive of the ancient certificates. The jails were built in our region. The government preserved the population from the Nogai and the Bashkir tribes. The jails were settled down on crossing of the trading ways. Alien people lodged near them. The arable lands for agriculture was not enough. Therefore crafts developed very well: fishery, potter's business, jeweler manufacture, a lace weaving, and also trading. So it was and with our village. There is such opinion about the name of the village, that the ancient settlements were named as “Sloboda”. The definition “Rybnaya” has affirmed to the word Sloboda, as the old residents believe, and it has been connected with Kama, with fish. In fact everyone wished to survive and people in the hope of the better life moved to a new place. Probably, so was in the first years of the foundation and the convenience of the arrangement has led to development of different crafts and trade. The village began to develop as trading and industrial. Look at this screen, please. So, you have seen the episode from one famous cartoon. As you know, our town is famous by fish, that’s why even our coat of arms represents the fish – the sterlet, which is surrounded by fishing net on the foreground and by the river on the background. We are now going along Lenin Street. Look to the left. We start from our mosque. It was built in 90-s of the XX century with the help of the administration and parishioners. Opened in 1997, it was a great historical event in the life of Rybnaya Sloboda. We have just turned left and you can see the Chapel. It is situated on the picturesque place near the river Kama. The old church was destroyed at the end of 70-s and instead of it this chapel was built . The mutual relation of nationalities, religions in some countries is an acute problem. And inhabitants of our village can prove the opportunity of the joint life and activity in conditions of respect, mutual understanding and support. Side by side live both Christians, and Muslims. People of different nationalities must reveal creative abilities and spiritual richness. In front of you, you can see our beach. It is one of the most spectacular places in our town. The golden sunsets glitter on the water as snow white yachts and boats sail lazily around the coast. Lots of people have a rest in summer here. You can play different outdoor games, or you can swim and fish here. Lots of married couples visit these places to have their photos in winter. Now we are coming to the memorial monument, which is called “Nobody and nothing is forgotten”. It is the great memory for our people, who took part in the World War II and we never forget our heroes. Next to the monument there is our Club. The inhabitants and guests of our town can visit the club, where take place different festivals, concerts. One can also find disco here, where the youth can spend their spare time in the evenings. Now we are making our way to Sport Complex. It stands majestically in the center of our town. As you know, this year is proclaimed as the year of sport and healthy way of life. And soon you can visit this building, where you can find your own way to be healthy. Rybnaya Sloboda has one of the most fanatical sporting public. Playing hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, skiing, boating, swimming, cycling and running are very popular in Rybnaya Sloboda.
