Введение в сюжет урока, постановка целей.

You are the winners of the “Teenager’s world competition”. You came from different countries and you came here to take part in the conference. The topic of our conference is The importance of learning English language.

Разминка.

Imagine that you are standing in the hall before the conference. Meet with each other. Ask where are you from? How do you feel yourself before the conference?

Children make up small dialogues.

Проверка домашнего задания

Your home task was to make a presentation of yourself and your country and answer the question: Why do you learn English?

Listen to each other, ask questions and make a list of reasons Why do you learn English?

Pp-s make presentations, ask questions.

Работа в группах. Подготовка к прослушиванию.

Look through the list of reasons. Are these reasons for or against learning English language. Let’s divide into two groups. The first group will give reasons for learning language and the second group will give reasons against learning language. Should we learn English?

You see that we have more reasons for learning English.

How do you think should people learn foreign languages? Why? Why not?

Pupils give reasons for and against learning English language, discuss teacher’s guestion.

Now listen to the radio program and check your answers. While listening find the answers on the questions given in the card.

We have got video letters from one of the Russian school. Let’s watch these letters and give advice to pupils who learn English.

Do you remember the topic of our today’s conference? Let’s answer the question: Is it important to learn English language nowadays?

Our lesson comes to the end. How do you feel yourself after the lesson? Chose the emotion and say why do you have such emotion?
