II.Постановкацелиурока.
This summer I’ve been to Moscow. I travelled there by metro and I noticed that people were reading books as they did many years ago. But nowadays they mostly read electronic books. I feel happy because the book hasn’t disappeared. It is still with us. It exists. The motto of our lesson is «The book is a great thing as long as a person is able to use it in a proper way». You have some papers on the desks. Please look through them and try to guess what we are going to deal with today (ответыдетей). Reading is an essential part of our life. What is reading for you? Next year you are to take state exams. Some of you will have an English exam. One of the tasks is reading for gist or skimming.
III.Актуализациязнаний.
So, you have to do the reading for the main idea. Can you say what kind of tasks we are going to have today? Should you ignore unknown words to understand the main idea of a passage? Should you know synonyms and have the ability to find them in the text? Should you read the text first? Key words and phrases? I want you to cope with this kind of reading properly.
