Цели:
Образовательные: учить составлять диалоги и монологи по образцу, понимать иностранную речь на слух, выполнять тесты, правильно употреблять в речи глаголы в Past Simple.
Развивающие: развитие языковой догадки, памяти, мышления, умение оформлять свои мысли в устной форме.
Воспитательные: формирование культуры поведения при групповой работе, в парах, с учителем, толерантное отношение к культуре других народов и памятникам древности.
Формирование УУД:
Личностные: формировать способность к самооценке на основе критериев успешной учебной деятельности, умение определять успешность своего задания в диалоге с учителем и друзьями.
Регулятивные: уметь определять цель деятельности на уроке, планировать свою работу. Уметь составлять план и последовательность действий.
Коммуникативные: формирование умений оформлять свои мысли в устной форме, уметь работать в парах, группах, индивидуально.
Познавательные: формировать умения работать с уже изученной лексикой и грамматикой, уметь применять их в речи. Метапредметные:
уметь определять и формировать цель на уроке с помощью учителя, оценивать правильность выполнения действий, планировать свои действия в соответствии с поставленной задачей, высказывать свое предположение.

Мотивациякучебнойдеятельности. We have already spoken much about ancient world, about famous monuments and about people who had made these wonders. But we didn’t speak about 7 wonders of the ancient world. Do you know them? Let’s remember what wonders of the ancient world are known all over the world.
Pupil 1: Yes, we know some of them – The Pyramids in Egypt, the Arthemide Temple., Zeus’ Statue, the Colossus of Rhodos, Mayzoley in Galikornas, the Hanging Gardens in Babylon, and Mayak in Alexandria. I think, we shall speak about them.
Teacher: What else will we speak today?
Pupil 2: To my mind we must speak about buildings and monuments in our time, the people built many masterpieces and they are worth of admiration.
Pupil 3: As far as I know we shall speak about the people who made history, the other words about famous people.
Teacher: We will speak about the Past. Which form of the verb must we use?
Pupil 4: We must use Past Simple.

: Let’s see the presentation about 7 wonders of the ancient world. Do you know that only one of them can be seen today? Which wonder is it? Which of them do you like most? Which would you like visiting?
P. As far as I know, only Pyramids can we see in Egypt. I’d like to visit them because I like the history of the ancient Egypt. It is difficult to imagine how people could carry or move giant stones without special techniques or machines. But we have to speak not only about wonders of the ancient world, mankind created a lot of special buildings and monuments later. There are so many in different countries. Let’s speak about some of then.

The Tower of London. The White Tower was built in 1066 by William the Conquer. He was afraid of the English people. So the Tower was used as a fortress. Then it was a palace. Many English kings and queens lived there. Then it was a prison, a royal Zoo and now it is a museum. Many people like to visit the Tower of London.
The Eiffel Tower in Paris. It is the great tower in the centre of the city. It was built by Eiffel in 1887. It became the symbol of Paris but some French people don’t like it.
The Statue of Liberty in America. I think, it is a symbol of New York. The Statue is situated in Manhattan Island. It is very huge. It was a present to American people from French people. Everybody who comes to New York by ship can see this monument.
The Great Chinese Wall. It was built many years ago. The Chinese people were afraid of the enemies and that’s why they built so high wall. The ruins of this wall can be seen in China now. It’s an attraction for the tourists.
St.Basil’s Cathedral. I want to tell about our country. There are so many monuments, palaces and buildings. One of them is St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow. It is situated in the Red Square. It was built by Russian architects Barma and Postnik in 16th century. It’s so beautiful, all Russian like to see this building and a lot of tourists visit Red Square and admire this masterpiece of Russian architecture.

The first group.
It is near Salisbury Plane in the south of England. People think it was used for religious ceremonies. Nobody knows who built this monument. The Stones were so big; perhaps people carried them down the river on bouts. (Stonehenge)
The second group.
This is a beautiful building is in London, where the best musicians of the world perform classical music. In front of it there is a monument to Prince Albert built by Queen Victoria.

It is a big Tower in our country in Moscow in the Red Square. On this Tower there is a big
Clock. It strikes every hour. Many people can hear it. (The Kremlin)

Teacher: but all these masterpieces were made by people. Do you know who made these wonders of the world?
Pupil: There are outstanding sculptors (Michelangelo, Falconet), painters, such as Goya, Rembrandt, Vasnetsov and others, many writers and scientists, musicians and inventors. We must never forget them.
Teacher: Let’s do ex. 1,p. 100. Complete the sentences with these words: architect, explore, astronaut, composers, director, painter.
Quiz. And now look at the blackboard. You can see many famous women from all over the world. Do you know them?
8.Irregularverbs.
Учащиеся получают карточки с неправильными глаголами в прошедшем времени, смотрят на них в течение одной минуты, а затем находят в других карточках настоящее время этих глаголов.
We review irregular verbs, look at the word search and find six irregular verbs in the past. Write them in infinitive form.
