1. Приветствие. Сообщение темы. Речевая разминка.

     Good afternoon! Glad to see you. You are ready for the lesson, so let’s start. How are you today? What’s the date today? What day is it today? What’s the weather like today? Do you like the weather? What day was it yesterday? Did you like the weather yesterday? What did you do yesterday? As for me, I cooked dinner and listened to music. (опрос учащихся)

     And now I’d like you to look at the board.  The theme of our lesson today is “Once Upon A Time…”  What stories, do you think, always begin with words: “Once Upon A Time…” (Tales).

     So, today we are going to speak about tales.

     And now let’s revise some verbs which can help us. Look at the board and repeat after me:

     Did you like to read tales when you were little children? Please, remind me the names of the most famous fairy tales.

Thank you, well done!

As you know the fairy tales begin like this: Once upon a time there was or were or lived…

So listen to the beginnings of the fairy tales and guess their names.

1. Once upon a time there  lived a man and a woman. The man had a lovely daughter who cooked and cleaned all day. And the woman had two unkind daughters. They didn’t work at all…  (Cinderella)
2. Once upon a time there was a very fast hare and a very slow tortoise… (The Hare and The Tortoise)
3. Once upon a time there lived an old man and an old woman. And they had a nice hen and its name was Ryaba… (Ryaba the Hen)
4. Once upon a time there in the wood lived three bears: mummy Bear, daddy Bear and baby Bear… (Goldilocks and the Three Bears)

3. The next tale I would like you to remember is “Cinderella” Did you read a story of Cinderella? I’m sure you did. You know that Cinderella was a hardworking girl and she was busy all day long. (слайд 4) Let’s read what Cinderella tells about herself.

I am Cinderella. I get up very early every morning. I do a lot of work about the house. I am busy all the day round. I cook food. I clean the rooms. I wash the clothes. I want to go to the ball very much.

4.  And now try and guess what Cinderella did yesterday. Imagine that you are Cinderella. Try to make a story and tell us what you did yesterday. Don’t forget to use Past Simple.
5.  Now let’s find out what Cinderella didn’t do yesterday. One pretends to be Cinderella. And others should ask her questions. (Did you play tennis yesterday? - No, I didn’t. I didn’t play tennis yesterday
6. Аудирование. And do you know the tale about Goldilocks and three bears? I want you to listen to the tale “Goldilocks and the Three Bears». You see the cards in front of you, and after listening to the tale you should write on the cards “yes” if the statements are true to the text and “no” if the statements are not true to the text. And now listen to the tape.
7. Retell the tale. You can use the words given on the board.

Yesterday I climbed a big tree. I visited my friends: Rabbit, Donkey and Pyatachok. I didn’t climb the beanstalk

I played football with my friends. I didn’t clean my room and wash the dishes. I didn’t read a book.

I visited my grandma I helped my mother and baked cakes. I didn’t talk to the wolf.
