Good afternoon. My name is Irina. I am in the 5 grade school №8 of Petrovsk. I have been studying English for four years.
I like to learn English very much. I like to learn new English words and to read texts. We all know that some words came into Russian language From English. We can hear these words every day. For example: hotel, computer, football, tennis… Our teacher teaches us English rules, asks question, talk in English with us. So we can easily chat with our friends from England.
But there are a lot of difficulties in English. For example: pronunciation. Russian consists of 5 vowel sounds. English has 12 vowel sounds and 8 diphthongs. Russian has a similar number of consonants to English. But the /θ/ and /ð/ sounds do not exist in Russian, so words such as thin, then and clothes are difficult for me.
English is difficult, but very interesting and exciting for me..
