Цель: Обобщение знания учащихся по теме “ Seasons. The English Year.”
Задачи: Учебные – совершенствование навыков аудирования, чтения и говорения, активизация изученной лексики, расширение словарного запаса.
Развивающие – развитие памяти, внимания и логического мышления, развитие умения сравнивать, анализировать, делать выводы.
Познавательные – расширение эрудиции учащихся, их общего кругозора.
Воспитательные – формирование потребности к сотрудничеству и взаимопомощи при работе в парах, группах, привитие любви к природе, формирование интереса и уважения к традициям страны изучаемого языка.
Тип урока: повторительно - обобщающий.
Оборудование: тексты для чтения, карточки с заданиями для работы в парах, группах, презентация, компьютер, мультимедийный экран.
Ход урока.
I. Определение темы. Good morning! I`m very glad to meet you again. Ready to work? Let`s begin. Look at the screen. Professor Help prepared two puzzles for you. Solve the puzzles and try to guess what we are going to speak about. (Cлайд 2). Ученики высказывают предположения. Yes, you are right. The theme of our lesson is “Seasons in Russia and in Great Britain.” (Cлайд 3).
II. Постановка задач урока. We`ll speak about seasons and compare the seasons in Russia and in Great Britain. How do you think what we are going to do during the lesson? Ученики высказывают предположения. Yes, you are right. We`ll listen and read the texts, ask and answer the questions, describe pictures, repeat the words on the topic “Seasons.The English Year.”
III.Фонетическая зарядка. But before we begin to work let`s do a phonetic exercise. Say after me, please: weather, cold, hot, warm, cool, sun, sunny, the sun shines, wind, windy, the wind blows, rain, rainy, it rains, snow, snowy, it snows, a month-months, Christmas, St. Patrick`s Day, April Fool`s Day, Hallowe`en, Easter, English Year.
IV.Речевая зарядка. Now answer my questions, please.
1. Is the weather nice or bad today?2. Is it warm or cool today? 3. What colour is the sky? 4. Does the sun shine? 5. Is it raining now? 6. Do you like the weather?
V. Работа с лексикой. Well, let`s repeat the words on the topic “The Place We Live In”. I`ll read a poem and you finish the lines.
Уже зима, одень-ка свитер!
Зима – иначе будет … winter.
Капель звенит дзинь-дзинь, дзинь-дзинь,
Пришла весна иначе … spring.
Догадайтесь сами, Лето это … summer.
Лечу впервые самолетом,
А за окошком осень … autumn.
Иногда идет весною

Ветер воет и гудит,
Ветер по-английски … wind.

VI. Работа в парах. And now we shall work in pairs. Ask each other questions about the seasons of the year. (Ученики выполняют задание). How many seasons are there in a year? What are they? What are summer months? Is it cold or hot in summer? Is it sunny in summer? What are spring months? Is it warm or cool in spring? Do the birds come from hot countries in spring? Do you to play football in spring? What are winter months? What саn you do in winter? What is the weather like in winter? Does it snow in winter? What are autumn months? Is it cool or hot in autumn? Does it rain or snow in autumn?
VII. Развитие навыков аудирования. Let`s continue our work. Some pupils will describe pictures and you guess what season it is. Listen to them. (Cлайд 4).
1. This is a very beautiful season. The weather is fine. It is warm. There are small green leaves on the trees. You can see first flowers in the forests and fields. Birds come back from hot countries and sing their beautiful songs. What season is it? (Spring)
2. This season is the coldest season of the year. The days are short and the nights are long. It is cold and frosty. There is snow on the trees, houses and on the ground. The children like this season because they can ski, skate, sledge and play snowballs. What season is it? (Winter)
3. This season is the hottest. The days are long and the nights are short. It is a beautiful season. The sky is blue. The sun is bright. The trees are green. There are many flowers in the parks and forests. They are blue, yellow, red and pink. Children can swim and play different games. What season is it? (Summer)
4. This season is not very warm. It is cool and it often rains. But it is a very beautiful season. The trees are yellow, orange, red and brown. It is a tasty season because there are many fruit and vegetables. The children meet their friends at school. What season is it? (Autumn)

X. Работа в группах. Well, let`s continue our work. Form the groups. Who likes winter (spring, summer, autumn)? Form the group “Winter” (“Spring”, “Summer”, “Autumn”). Now we shall compare seasons in Great Britain and in Russia.
