План-конспект урока английского языка в 6 классе

              по теме  «The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland»

Цель: обобщение знаний учащихся о стране изучаемого языка и применение их на практике в устной и письменной речи

Задачи:                                                                                                                                - воспитательная: формировать интерес и уважительное отношение к культуре другой страны;                                                                                                                            

- развивающая: расширять знания учащихся об Объединённом королевстве Великобритании и Северной Ирландии, развивать интерес к учебно-познавательной деятельности на иностранном языке и умение учебного сотрудничества при выполнении коллективного проекта;                                                                                                        

 - практическая: активизировать лексику по теме, развивать навыки монологической и диалогической речи

Тип урока: повторительно-обобщающий

                                                   Ход урока:

I.Начальный этап.

Teacher: Hello, children! I’m glad to see you. Today we have a very interesting lesson. You have finished  working at your projects about the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and now you can represent them. But before listening to your projects I want you show me the parts of the UK on the map.                                                                                                    Ученики выходят к карте и показывают части Объединённого королевства и их столицы.               

II.Основной этап.                                                          

1.Каждая из 4-х групп учащихся  по очереди выходит к доске  и представляет свой проект об одной из стран Объединённого королевства Великобритании и Северной Ирландии. We want to tell you about England. It’s the biggest country in the UK. The capital of England is London. It is a very old and beautiful city. The population of England is 48 million people. The largest cities are Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield and others. The famous river is the Thames. The national emblem of England is red rose. The national flag represents a red cross on a white field. It’s Saint George’s  Cross of England. The national day of England is on the 23-rd of April.

3.Teatcher: Thank you for your projects. But now I would like to ask you some questions about British cities, their sights and famous people who lived there.

1).What historical places can we visit in London?                                                                      2).What famous museums are situated in London?                                                                  3).Where does the British Queen live?                                                                                    4).What is Liverpool famous for?                                                                                          5).Where did the great English poet W. Shakespeare born?                                                      6).What cities are famous for their universities?                                                                        7).What city would you like to visit and why?

4.Teatcher: So you have learnt a lot interesting things about the UK and I would like to give you a quiz. Your task will be to choose the correct answer.

5.Teatcher: And now the last task for today. It’s a contest of proverbs. There are 10 English proverbs at the blackboard. You should read them and give Russian variants.

III.Заключительный этап.
