Teacher: Today we will speak about our country Russia and our native town Kovrov.
Please, the questions on the blackboard
-where is Russia situated
- what is Russia washed by
- what can you say about the climate of Russia.
Ученики отвечают. Один ученик делает сообщение о географическом положении России.
T. But Russia is not Russia wihtout its capital. Who has been to Moscow? Rise your hands. To my mind, it will be easy for you to translate this short text orally. ( перед учениками на парте находится небольшой текст о Москве. На доске написаны слова , которые могут вызвать затруднения у детей: was founded ,to get an idea, to attract, many-storeyed, church, narrow). Учащиеся по цепочке переводят устно текст.

T. Very well. As Moscow is a heart of Russia, Kovrov is a part of Russia too. Imagine,a foreigner has come to your native town, Kovrov.

T. Now,please, describe your town. ( другой ученик кратко описывает город - географическое положение, достопримечательности).Do you like youe town?
Now your task is to complete the sentenses using your active vocabulary about your town.( перед учениками находятся карточки, на которых написаны первые части предложений о городе. Ученики в тетрадях дописывают предложения. Зачитывают их.
