Экологическое воспитание обучающихся на уроках английского языка.(из опыта работы)
Важный вклад в экологическое воспитание детей может внести и предмет «иностранный язык». Возможность подробного обсуждения вопросов экологии имеется в 7,8 классах при работе по УМК Биболетовой М.З., Трубанёвой Н.Н.”EnjoyEnglish'' и УМК Кауфман К.И., Кауфман М.Ю.”HappyEnglish. ru”
Беседы о погоде и времени года проводятся на уроках очень часто. Предлагая детям набор слов по экологической тематике: towaterflowers, trees, togrowplants, totakecareof, tokeepournature, riversсистематически, можно уже в младших классах получить высказывания типа: Ilike toplanttrees. It’s nice to take care of trees. Trees are very beautiful.
Чтобы показать детям красоту родной природы, учить их видеть и ценить красоту окружающей природы, целесообразно обращаться к произведениям живописи: И.Левитана, И.Шишкина и др. и проводить беседу о пейзажах и том, что хотел выразить художник своими произведениями. Разговор в таком русле плавно подводит обучающихся к ответу на вопросы:
1. Can we allow to die such beauty ?
2.Is everything all right around us nowadays ?
Проблемные вопросы помогают подключить обучающихся к беседе.
Как известно, обучение школьников иностранному языку нацелено на формирование и развитие личности, способной и желающей участвовать в общении на изучаемом языке. Метод проектов способствует возникновению желания принять участие в общении. обучающиеся получают домашние задания поискового характера, которые предполагают работу с дополнительной литературой. Так в работе над проектом “NatureinClose-up” экологические проблемы представляются биологами, зоологами и медиками с привлечением региональных материалов. Каждая группа вырабатывает экологические проекты в ходе международного конгресса Greenpeace, учится взаимодействовать, у них развиваются творческие способности, углубляются знания.
Использовать возможности межличностной коммуникации и развития умений сотрудничать помогает такая форма коллективной деятельности учащихся как викторина и интеллектуальные игры. При проведении викторины “BrainRing” были специально подобраны вопросы по изучению и углублению знаний учащихся по теме “PlantsandAnimals”.
Подкрепление знаний обучающихся видеоматериалами “LondonZoo”,“LochNessMonster” помогают повышать учебную. мотивацию.
Тема экологии тесно связана с домашними животными. Обучающимся предлагается сделать видеосюжеты к передаче “IntheWorldofAnimals” Самостоятельно – подготовленные индивидуальные проекты о черепахе, кошке, кроликах способствует развитию творческих способностей обучающихся, учат школьников воспринимать себя как часть мира, природы, учат их доброте и отзывчивости.
В заключении хотелось бы подчеркнуть, что данная форма организации учебной деятельности в группах имеет положительные результаты: развивает способность к общению, укрепляет межличностные отношения. Обеспечиваются условия для развития всех речевых умений, учащиеся пользуются иностранным языком как средством общения. Все это несомненно способствует росту мотивации, помогает достижению целей, намеченных современной парадигмой образования.

P: I doubt it. Nowadays there are many environmental problems. And I invite you to our Greenpeace International Congress.

Today we are having a round – table discussion with
Greenpeace supporters from different countries of the world
We’ll discuss the problem of environmental pollution,
protection and all the facts people’s survival depends on.
Let’s begin with botanists.

P1: Good afternoon. Let me introduce myself. I’m from Russia.
It’s a lovely place. You can see various trees here: limes,
birches, pines, maples, larches and jasmine bushes. They are
white with blossoms in summer. I admire them.
P 2: We all do. But polluted air, water and land, acid rains and
Pesticides are harmful to plants. We can see a lot of trash
everywhere.
P 3: I fully agree with you. The forests are in danger today.
Everyday big forests are cut down for paper, furniture and
other things.
P 4: We know it is not right to pick up wild flowers. We are
English and have a particular hobby – growing roses. And
we suggest the following ecological project:
P 5: 1) To plant more trees and flowers.
2) Not to pick up wild flowers.
3) To clear trash from forests, meadows.
4) Not to litter the ground with paper, cans, bottles and
paper.
5) To recycle used products.

P 1: We are a society of zoologists and I underline the fact that there is no ocean, sea, lake or river which is not used as a dump.
P 2: Let me add. I’m from Kemerovo Region Russia I and want to say our local river Tom also suffers from the effects of different plants. The poisonous wastes kill fish and water creatures.
P 3: Wildlife problems occur everywhere. For example, I’m from Australia. Nowadays I know the fact that such popular animals as red kangaroos have disappeared from this continent.
P4: Not only people can speak. There is a kind of book which screams. The colour of it is red and it is the colour of blood and life. It’s a reference book on disappearing creatures. It calls us for help.
P 5: We would like to offer some important tips to save our
wildlife:
- To feed birds in winter and help them to survive when it is cold.
- To clear up rivers, lakes and natural habitat from rubbish.
- To stop hunting wild animals for their oil, fur and meat.
- To be kind and tidy to nature.
- To hang up posters like these everywhere.

P1: We think people’s habitat – their homes, towns, villages and cities must be kept ecologically clean.
P2: I’m all for it. In places where people drink poisoned water, eat bad food and breathe toxic air they suffer from serious diseases and die early; their children are born weak.
P3: By the way, some medicines come from trees, plants and
flowers which grow in the forest. If we destroy them, we will never find the cure for cancer and AIDS.
P4: In my opinion, the modern way of life when people have little exercise, use cars instead of walking, watch television for many hours and work with computers turn them into legless creatures.
P 5: Of course we have to do something about this. We offer the following project:
1. We must control the progress to give it humanistic direction.
2. If only people took care of the environment and each other they would never need any medical care.
3. Keep healthy way of life. Go in for sports.
4. Don’t eat fruit and vegetables with nitrates.
5. Keep our environment clean.
6. Test and filter water you drink.
